This high-intensity trek cuts through vibrant tropical rainforests and open alpine moorlands, designed specifically for hikers who want to reach the 4,321m Wagagai Peak without the long approach. From the misty canopy of the lower slopes to the sun-drenched views of the Kenyan border, this route offers a raw, unfiltered encounter with the mountain's majestic heights in just three days.
Itinerary

On day one, you will have an early morning breakfast at the hotel in Bududa,A moto cycle ride takes you from the hotel to Bushiyi Ranger post which is run by by Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA)from there will be briefing and meet the hiking team which includes Rangers,chef and potters,
You will hike for 15km through the tropical rainforest to SHIRONKO camp where you will have a lunch break.However the first day ends in DUBI camp where you will enjoy Sunset,Amazing views,Coffee/Tea and dinner and spend a night.
Day 2
Have an early morning breakfast at DUBI camp and then continue hiking for 9km to Waggai Summit where you will be in a heath zone having left the tropical rainforest behind.
The heath zone is an open area that allows you to have the breathtaking views of the mountain.At the peak you will able to see from both the Ugandan and Kenyan sides.Take photos and videos and enjoy the amazing views of the mountain.Take back same trail to DUBI camp for a lunch break and descend to SHIRONKO camp for Dinner and spend a night.
Day 3
Have an early morning breakfast at SHIRONKO camp and descend through the tropical rainforest with the Rangers to Bushiyi for an official check out land this will mark the end will mark the end of your stay in the forest.
